Dermatological Use

Niacinamide is an antioxidant derived and synthesized from vitamin B3.

The ingredient was developed in the late 1930’s and became a prominent skincare treatment in the 1960’s for acne and hyperpigmentation. It became similarly widespread in the UK in the 1990’s.

Niacinamide contributed to dermatology’s shift towards preventative over-the-counter topical treatment and overall skin health and resilience covering acne, ageing skin, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea.
